1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating and managing an account, including your email address, display name, age or date of birth, gender, dating preferences, city/state/country, profile biography, photos, lifestyle information, relationship preferences, and communications sent through the service.
If you request identity verification, we also collect a selfie, government-issued identity document, proof of address, legal name, submission date, and review status. Verification documents are private and are not displayed to other members.
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, device and browser information, login activity, pages viewed, search activity, approximate location, safety reports, and interactions with other members. Payment providers may process billing details; we do not intentionally display full payment-card details.
2. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, search, matching, messaging, verification, memberships, and customer support.
- Personalize recommendations and improve the service.
- Process payments and maintain transaction records.
- Detect spam, scams, abuse, impersonation, fraud, and other safety risks.
- Send service emails, security alerts, verification messages, and communications you request.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Profile visibility and location
Information placed on a dating profile may be visible to other users. Do not publish a home address, personal email address, phone number, financial information, or identity-document number in your profile or messages. Public profiles should show only an appropriate general location such as city and state. Full address and verification documents, when collected, are restricted to authorized review and operational purposes.
4. How information may be shared
We may share information with hosting, email, security, analytics, customer-support, identity-review, and payment service providers that help operate the service; when required by law; to protect users or investigate abuse; or as part of a business transfer. We do not authorize service providers to use private verification documents for unrelated advertising.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Verification files receive restricted handling and should be removed when no longer reasonably necessary.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update profile information and communication choices through your account. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of eligible personal information by contacting us. Depending on your U.S. state, additional rights may include knowing categories of data collected, opting out of certain targeted advertising or sales, limiting certain sensitive-data uses, and appealing a denied request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
7. Cookies and communications
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and service operation. Transactional and security messages are necessary to operate an account. Marketing messages may be unsubscribed from using the provided link or account controls.
8. Adults only
Exclusive Matches is intended only for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the service. Contact us if you believe a minor has created an account.
